Exploits Valley Salmon Festival Ends

The Exploits Valley Salmon Festival is over for another year or is it the beginning of the end. These are really not my words but the words of people who like to see the town change the way the main event, the SPLASH CONCERT is currently done. Most who are complaining about it are asking the question why can't they take the concert entertainment budget and roll it into a main event major concert.If the budget is two or three hundred thousand for several bands, why can't they hire a great named act and a couple of local acts and open the gate at four o'clock. How much do the sponsors pay the town. If the beer company lost three hours of selling suds how would it affect the concert.These question and others can only be answered by the town and its Concert chairperson.
